The Artistic Challenge

For the latest edition of History of Polish Hip-Hop (HPHH), led by Radzimir Dębski (aka Jimek), we faced a unique challenge: create a visual identity that would unite two seemingly disparate worlds—hip-hop and symphonic orchestras—while filling the massive 50,000-seat Silesian Stadium.

Visual Conceptualization

Our design approach centered on creating a monumental visual language that captured the essence of Polish hip-hop's golden era. We crafted a striking key visual that blended bold typography with iconic 90s architectural elements, specifically the grey blocks of flats that defined an entire generation's urban landscape.

Nostalgic Storytelling

The campaign was more than a design project—it was a cultural narrative. We developed a comprehensive visual identity that spanned posters, stage design, and digital communication, carefully weaving nostalgia with contemporary design sensibilities. From late 2022, our messaging built anticipation for the September 2023 event, creating a year-long journey of excitement and remembrance.

Design Philosophy

We used vibrant lighting and bold colors to evoke the gritty, creative spirit of Polish hip-hop. The visual identity became a bridge between generations, speaking to both long-time fans and new audiences, capturing the raw energy and artistic innovation of the genre.

Campaign Impact

The results were profound. We successfully filled the Silesian Stadium, transforming HPHH into one of the largest and most memorable music events of its kind. The campaign unified hip-hop fans across generations, creating a cultural moment that transcended traditional musical boundaries.

Key Insight

Our work demonstrated how thoughtful design can transform nostalgia into a powerful, forward-looking experience. By honoring the roots of Polish hip-hop while embracing innovative visual storytelling, we created more than an event—we crafted a cultural phenomenon that celebrated an entire musical generation.
